Sending my Daughter Off to War.

The last few days have been some of the hardest in my life as I spent the last 48 plus hours with my daughter before she left on deployment. I am so very very proud of her and of Company C. They are a very special company. I am going through such a roller coaster of feelings. I am close to a few of the soldiers in her Company as well. Her sisters and I hugged and held her as much as we could before we had to let her go onto the bus that will take her and the rest to their destination. God Bless them for their duties of keeping us safe and for the incredible job they have ahead of them that will help so many Soldiers in Afghanistan. I miss you my beautiful girl!

Local Soldiers Deploy to Afghanistan.

Sixty five men and with with the National Guard based out of the Wyoming Armory are preparing to deploy to Afghanistan.

WYOMING - The National Guard Armory in Wyoming held a deployment ceremony Thursday afternoon for sixty five soldiers who are heading to fight the war in Afghanistan.

The men and women are part of a communication network, that will help soldiers communicate on the front lines.

The soldiers are departing this week for two months of training before heading to the war torn county.

There's a wide variety of soldiers deploying from a number of different backgrounds. They include a soldier who's leaving his pregnant wife behind, a nineteen year old medic who just learned she was deploying two weeks ago, and a young woman who's heading out on her first deployment.

We'll have a live report tonight on Fox 17 News at 6 and 10.

After Mr. Obama's bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, the Chinese began sending lower-level functionaries to the multilateral meetings. A frustrated Mr. Obama pressed for another bilateral meeting, which was scheduled for Friday at 6:15 p.m. Other leaders of the countries known as the "BASIC" bloc were harder to pin down.

EDITORIAL: Terrorists use Democratic talking points

The five terrorists facing federal trial in New York have some powerful arguments at their disposal. All they need to do is recycle Democratic talking points criticizing President George W. Bush's foreign policy.

Defense attorney Scott Fenstermaker, who is representing Khalid Shaikh Mohammed's nephew Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, said the accused terrorists would make the case about "their assessment of American foreign policy," adding, "Their assessment is negative." The current administration shares the same assessment; President Obama's foreign policy has been a conscious and smug rejection of the policies of his predecessor.

THE FORGOTTEN VICTIM OF THE FT HOOD TERRORIST ATTACK!

I thank my friend James Robbins for this article. We must not forget that the most innocent life of all was lost that day as well. A tiny helpless unborn child. there were 14 victims of this monster, not 13.

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was charged with 13 counts of murder for the Fort Hood massacre, but 14 persons were killed. Army Pvt. Francheska Velez, a 21-year-old Chicago native, was six weeks pregnant when she was gunned down. Her unborn child is the 14th victim, but the death so far has been ignored by our government.
